Give to the Max 2017

November 15, 2017

Can you imagine earning less than $10,000 a year while also raising three children? Can you imagine sleeping at a homeless shelter with a 2-year-old and 5-year-old? Can you imagine struggling with a debilitating mental illness while trying to hold down a job and care for your newborn? Crisis is a heartbeat away for many families in our community.  Every single day, the staff and volunteers at Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery are supporting families in crisis. Michael and I have supported the Crisis Nursery for more than 15 years because we know it provides a life line for parents and delivers on its mission to prevent child abuse and neglect.

Our commitment to the work of the Nursery goes beyond personal. Our small business, Story Stick Marketing has made GMCN our pro bono client since we opened our doors 8 years ago. We have created print, video, and events to help tell the stories of families and children whose lives have been changed (even saved) because of the work of this amazing organization.

Please, join us in supporting parents and children and give to Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery during our hour from 10 am to 11 am tomorrow, November 16! Story Stick is contributing $1,000 to the Crisis Nursery on Give to the Max Day and we are hoping you will help match this contribution.

And be sure to let us know if you donate! We would love to thank you AND invite you to join us for one of our monthly, Cook for Kids dinners at the Nursery.
