We adapted a late night talk show format for the Honeywell Building Solutions’ global sales team’s online meeting to get the team fired up and on the same page for the year ahead.
Honeywell Building Solutions leadership wanted to communicate a consistent message to their global sales team while generating enthusiasm and a positive attitude. They wanted the team to feel engaged and connected despite not sitting together in the same room.
We proposed they adapt their online meeting to a late night talk show format, an approach that was a good fit for the sales leader’s style and personality. We built a set, hired musicians, coached the host and “guests,” and wrote an opening monologue that was humorous while still delivering the fundamental message. We deviated from the format to allow the audience to ask questions live via Facetime and instant message chat, increasing their participation and buy in.
In one interactive hour, participants worldwide received a consistent message and directive. Metrics showed that nearly 100% signed in and more than 70% were involved in the online Q&A and chat.
